Grundig Satellit 750 Manual Download
This is a strange radio. ( Satellit 750 ) First the GOOD...FM performance is outstanding. Will pick up weak FM stations. Separation of strong FM signals from weaker one's are excellent. Ham Band reception is good when using a outdoor wire antenna. Good audio quality, the SSB filter may be a bit wide, but enjoyable clarity and copy. Airband is good. I live between two airports , and many of the frequencies I listen to come in excellent. Sensitivity on Shortwave and the AM Broadcast band is very good. Using just the whip antenna is good for FM Broadcast, and the Airband. Sensitivity on the AM broadcast using the rotating antenna on the top of the radio is good. It's not the best I have heard, but it's very good. Now the BAD, and it's really only one thing but a big one for me. I enjoy listening to the AM Broadcast band, listening to talk radio ballgames, etc. I found the AM wide filter to be a disaster. It is incredibly wide, on my unit at least 16 KHZ wide. But that's not the worst part. It's how the filter alignment is from the factory. When tuning an AM broadcast station, for example 860. With the wide filter, I found 860 was very distorted. Then I would tune up the dial to say 865, then the filter sound muffled, like the Narrow filter. I also tuned to 855, again muffled audio, like the filter was narrow. Very Strange !! I own over 40 radios, and this has been part of my life. I really wanted this to work. it's an excellent looking radio. Many things work well, however the wide filter problems are inexcusable. For 329 dollars Grundig should get this right. The Narrow filter was a good one on my unit, however it's only about 4 KHZ wide, which provides muffled audio on AM and AM Shortwave. BTW these problems extend to both AM broadcast, and Shortwave. The Narrow filter is usable as you can improve the audio by tuning 1-2 KHZ up or down from the station you choose. I for one did return the 750 for a refund.Eton Satellit – Updated. Solid pdf tools download. The newest Eton Satellit has no model number after the nameit is known simply as The Eton Satellit.
